Problem Note 68538: SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.3.x - Using Ctrl+F to surface the Find dialog box produces unexpected behavior
Using Ctrl+F within the log viewer of SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.3.x to initiate the Find dialog box can produce unexpected behavior when there is a delay in initiating the dialog box.
Specifically, if you already started to enter the search term into the dialog box after pressing Ctrl+F, delays introduced by either the application or network might result in a leading portion of the string being used to return an initial set of results. In addition, the remainder of the entered string subsequently overlays the leading portion that was present in the dialog box and used to return the initial results.
In order to obtain the intended result set, you must either wait for the Find dialog box to fully initiate before entering the initial search term, or reenter the correct search term once the dialog box has returned the first (unintended) set of results.
The issue is addressed beginning with SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4.1.
